The Sunflower Katana brings its floral subject into the fittings, with copper sunflower details set against a red-and-gold lacquered hardwood saya. The clay-tempered Damascus blade keeps the centre of the piece measured, allowing the colour and motif to carry the first impression.
Its visual character comes from the warm lacquer palette and repeated sunflower work across the mount. This is the red-and-gold version of the design, distinct from the separate Sunflower Katana with an ebony and cow-horn saya.
