Nightingale Wakizashi

Sale price$99.00

Edge: Sharpened

Description

Nightingale brings a bright, polished 1045 carbon steel blade into a warmer, more tactile setting. 1045 is a medium-carbon steel with a practical balance of hardness and toughness. A clean bo-hi runs along the blade, while the defined kissaki gives the short sword a clear, traditional profile.

Below the blade, the character shifts to wood and earth tones: a brown-wrapped handle with a white diamond underlay, a gold-tone habaki, and black-and-gold fittings. The pale solid-wood saya is carved with flowing linework rather than covered in glossy lacquer, giving the piece a lighter, natural feel.

At wakizashi scale, Nightingale keeps the display footprint compact while giving the saya enough room for its carved surface to be seen. The result is a short sword built around polished steel, warm brown wrapping, and carved wood.
