The Lotus Katana turns its central fitting into a small scene: a lotus and toad share the tsuba rather than appearing as separate decorative labels. That pairing gives the katana a more specific character than a general floral treatment.
The clay-tempered Damascus blade is mounted with an ebony and cow-horn saya, whose dark surface gives the sculpted fitting room to stand out. The result is a botanical design with an unexpected companion motif.
