The Kobayashi Ise Katana carries a kobuse core — hard steel inside, softer jacket outside. The old way. A method few still attempt, fewer still master. Why? Because it works. It lasts. It feels right in the hand.
The edge is clay tempered, line by line, inch by inch. Heat, clay, water. What comes out is a real gunome hamon — flowing waves like teeth in motion. Not etched. Not printed. Just fire talking through steel.
