Ivory Contrast Katana
Ivory Contrast Katana
The Ivory Contrast Katana is built around a black-and-white lacquered saya with pale, cloud-like ornament. The bo-hi gives the patterned blade a clear line, while copper fittings bridge the dark mount and the lighter decoration.
The visible pattern is kept descriptive rather than assigned a more specific subject. Its strongest distinction is the monochrome saya and gold-toned ornamental contrast.
