Edge: Sharpened

Guardian Katana – Clay Tempered, In-House Steel, Gunome Midare Hamon

Some blades are made to conquer. This one was made to protect.

The Guardian Katana begins not in the forge — but earlier. At the steel. This isn’t catalog steel. It’s refined in-house, from raw stock to billet, in the same workshop where it’s forged. That means control — over carbon, density, tone.

The edge is brought to life through clay tempering. A slow, deliberate process. Clay layered by hand, heat rising, quench roaring. And from that — a real gunome midare hamon emerges. Wave and chaos, rhythm and asymmetry. It doesn’t follow a pattern. It follows intent.

The Guardian Katana isn’t flashy. It doesn’t boast. But when held, it feels exactly how it should: present, ready, and calm.
