Gilded Tide Katana
The Gilded Tide Katana presents a blue-finished blade set against a gold lacquer saya with shell-inlay dragon decoration. Silver fittings sharpen the contrast and give the mounting its bold presence. The shell-inlay dragon gives the gold saya a tactile point of detail, set against the cooler blue blade. The warm lacquer and shell work stay on the saya, while the blue blade provides a cooler counterpoint.
