Edge: Sharpened

Exorcism Katana – Hon-Sanmai Forged, T10 Steel, Zhong Kui Tsuba

The Exorcism Katana is forged in hon-sanmai (本三枚鍛) style — a triple-layered structure with a hard steel core between two softer layers. Strong at the edge. Forgiving at the core. Uncompromising in purpose.

The katana steel is T10 high carbon, sharp and unforgiving. Tempered with clay using the traditional yaki-ire process, revealing a flowing gunome hamon — burned into steel by fire. Each wave is slightly irregular. Like spirit. Like motion.

The saya is ray skin-wrapped, textured, grip-ready, pale beneath lacquer. Raw yet refined. Meant to be drawn quickly. Meant to be returned with silence.

But what sets this blade apart — sits right at the guard.
The tsuba is carved with Zhong Kui (钟馗) — the demon queller of Chinese legend, known for his fierce eyes, wild beard, and iron will. He doesn’t bless the sword. He stands between the blade and what it must face.
This one was made to cast out what doesn’t belong. It’s for confrontation. For the moment when steel meets shadow — and does not flinch.
