The Crimson Knot Katana is marked by a black saya, a red cord, and an ornate openwork guard. The dark ground lets the cord and fitting carry the visual emphasis, while the bo-hi gives the patterned blade a clear central line.
Its unusually long overall proportion is part of the design’s presence, but the defining details remain the red cord, black saya, and iron fittings.
